I am a Marine Corps veteran with a passion for technology. From working as a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative, Safety Representative, and most recently at the United States Postal Service I have seen firsthand how technology impacts daily lives. By turning daily tasks and routines into software programs, I have unlocked a permanent interest into being a Full-Stack Software Engineer. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer & Information Technologies and my passion for technology led me to continue my learning by attending Code Platoon. Code Platoon is a non-profit organization who helps military veterans and spouses to get a career in Software Development. I am developing programs using DJango, Python, Bootstrap, and React.

Information Technology Internship - South Texas Health System (Feb 2019 - May 2019)

Provide accurate and detailed documentation of problem, analysis and resolution actions performed during troubleshooting process.
Prepare and image computers for OS and software upgrades.
Deploy software remotely using DSM.
Troubleshoot Patient Health Boards and deploy scripts.
Work with others in Information Technology to coordinate various IT functions so that solutions and knowledge are shared easily and promptly.
Assists technicians with problems.

Postal Clerk - United States Postal Service (Oct 2017 - Aug 2018)

Make one or more sortations of outgoing and/or incoming mail using the appropriate sort program or manual distribution scheme.
Perform all of the following duties: load mail onto automated equipment, culling out unprocessable items; enter sort plan and start equipment; monitor flow of mail to ensure continuous feed; sweep separated mail from bins/stackers; and stop equipment when distribution run or operation is completed. Run machine reports, clear jams and contact maintenance for assistance when required.
Prepare work area, ensuring all necessary support equipment and materials, including labels, trays, and other containers, are in place.
Remove sorted mail from bins or separations and places into appropriate trays or containers for further processing or dispatch based on knowledge of operating plans and dispatch schedules, or at the instruction of supervisors or expediters; may riffle or verify mail to ensure sortation accuracy as needed.
In addition, perform any of the following duties: provide service at public window for non-financial transactions; maintain records of mails; examine balances in advance deposit accounts; and record and bill mail requiring special service.
Follow established safe work methods, procedures and safety precautions while performing all duties.
Provide excellent customer service to customers.
Open and manage satellite post office operations to ensure timely delivery of mail.
